Marketing ROI Calculator
To figure out your marketing ROI, first download your search traffic from Google Search Console:
- Open Google Search Console and choose your site.
- Click Performance › Search results.
- Set the date range. The last 3 months works well.
- Click Export (top right) › Download CSV.
- Click Google Import below, choose the file (no need to unzip it), then click Upload.
Optional: to include Bing (which also powers Yahoo and DuckDuckGo results), do the same in Bing Webmaster Tools: open Search Performance, set the same date range, click Download, and use Bing Import.
Upload your search exports
or drag the Search Console file here

Do you also pay for ads?
Add your ad results to see what you pay per click and per lead, next to the search visits you get without paying per click.
Paid ads beta
From each ad platform you use, download a campaign report as a CSV file for the same dates as your search data, then add them all here. Any file with a cost or spend column works.
Where to find the download
- Google Ads (Local Services Ads included): Campaigns, set the date range, click the download icon › .csv. Local Services campaigns are shown as their own line.
- Microsoft Advertising (Bing ads): Campaigns, set the date range, click Download › CSV.
- Facebook & Instagram: Meta Ads Manager › Campaigns, set the date range, Export › Export table data › .csv.
- Other platforms: any CSV with a cost or spend column. If we can’t tell which column is which, we’ll ask.
or drag one or more ad reports here
Local Services Ads? Paste your profile page
Google has no download for these settings. In your Local Services dashboard, open Profile & budget, press ⌘A then ⌘C (Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C on Windows), and paste it here. It is read in your browser and not sent anywhere.
What is this traffic worth?
Add four numbers from your own records to turn these visits into revenue, cost per client and return on your marketing.
The dollar impact
- New clients / month
- Revenue / month
- Revenue / year
- Cost per inquiry
- Cost per new client
- Value of one search visit
- Inquiries per 100 visits
- Return on spend
- Break-even
New clients = inquiries × close rate. Revenue = new clients × average revenue. Return on spend = (revenue − marketing cost) ÷ marketing cost; with a profit margin, profit replaces revenue.
